ABOUT ANDREW
Andrew Jones, son of V8 Supercar team owner Kim Jones and nephew of owner/driver Brad, began his career in Formula Ford before making his V8 Supercar debut in an AU Falcon at Winton's Development Series round in 2002.
2003 saw Andrew compete in a handful of Development Series rounds, ending the championship in 11th and ready for fight for the title in 2004. Again driving for Brad Jones Racing, Jones Jr started the season slowly but went on a rampage towards the end of the season, finishing in the top two in the final four rounds, clinching the title on a countback over Luke Youlden. He then went on set a new qualifying lap record at Mount Panorama during the Bathurst 1000 support races in his Team BOC AU Falcon. Endurance stints alongside veteran Scot John Cleland in 2003 and 2004 with BJR also proved that Andrew could certainly cut it in the main V8 Supercar Series. Andrew cast family loyalties aside from 2005, joining Garry Rogers Motorsport. The relationship was short lived however, missing the final rounds of the 2005 V8 Supercar Championship Series after finishing a career high 4th at Bathurst with co-driver Cameron McConville. In 2006, Andrew scored a drive with Tasman Motorsport after a shootout test against Nathan Pretty and Luke Youlden and joined Jason Richards for the team's two-car assault on the 2006 series. For 2007, Andrew has moved back to Albury and once again joins Brad Jones Racing; this time for a full assault on the 2007 V8 Supercar Championship Series. With his experienced uncle Brad Jones along side him, Andrew is looking forward to the challenges of session 2007. Career History
